One of Michigans better Justice's
A few comments to consider regarding Cliff Taylor;
Govenor Engler has said “. . . his keen understanding of both the United States and the Michigan Constitution,” “He knows that it is the original meaning of the text, applied to present circumstances that should govern judicial interpretation of statutes and the constitution. It is not for the judge to substitute his personal agenda for that of the lawmakers. In Cliff Taylor we have a most worthy justice.”
Maura Corrigan, who served two terms as Michigan’s chief justice (2001-04), chose to speak from the heart, “He practices law as it was meant to be practiced — as a learned profession.”
Are you kidding? What about
Are you kidding? What about automobile accidents that have injured thousands of people in Michigan? Where does he stand on that? He is definately on the insurance companies side when it comes to seriously injured and maimed people who seek some kind of reimbursement for their injuries. It is nearly impossible for a victim to recover anything.
His complete disregard for the Michigan "No-Fault" laws as they were written are evident. Just look up the "Kreiner" descision from 2004. He is notoriously known as part of the "Gang of Four" on the Michigan Supreme Court that decided their interpetation of the No-Fault law is the right one.
The insurance companies profits continue to grow in the billions because of unpaid/underpaid settlements, while the seriously injured are left to rely on the taxpayers for medical, housing, etc... for the rest of their lives.
Justice Taylor and his other 3 culprits need to spend some time in a physical therapy hospital to see exactly how these innocent car accident victims suffer on a daily basis. Maybe then they will realize that pocketing corporate money to interpet the No-Fault laws in favor of the insurance companies is outright wrong and unethical.
No, I am not a lawyer. Just another innocent accident victim left by the wayside because of this fool.
